Portable Electrical Appliance Testing
The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 make all Employers responsible for ensuring that all portable electrical appliances are tested regularly.
All our operatives have the professional qualifications and appropriate levels of experience to guarantee a first class service. Using the very best equipment - Seaward test machines combined with Shire Software - we can design a testing program to suit you, the customer:
- Flexible working hours to maximise 'windows of opportunity', and minimise disruption to your staff.
- Logs produced on hard copy or disk.
- Test results can be downloaded direct to your PC.
- Bespoke labeling where appropriate.
Our 'administration friendly' pricing policy eliminates the need to reconcile 'repairs' such as fuses, plugs and reterminations. These are all included in our 'all-in price'.
Fixed Installation Inspection & Test
The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 require all fixed installations to be regularly inspected, tested and maintained.
We adhere to the IEE Wiring Regulations BS 7671 (1992) regarding standards, frequency of test and logging of results. Castle Electrical’s membership of NICEIC and ECA compels us to work to the highest standards giving you peace of mind. A survey of your installation will enable us to submit a realistic and cost effective quotation and plan a program to minimise 'shutdown' times and disruption.
Emergency Lighting Inspection & Test
In accordance with BS 5266 Part 1 1988 and other approved codes of practice, Castle Electrical provides a regular service to many of its customers on a 6 monthly and 12 monthly basis. The installation is maintained to the highest standard of efficiency, safety and cleanliness. Procedure training is given to your staff in respect of daily checking and we maintain a log of testing and results and issue a certificate in respect of all locations.
Fire Detection & Alarm Systems
Following the recommendations of BS 5839 Part 1 1988, we provide an inspection and test service on a 3 monthly and 12 monthly basis. All results are recorded in a log which is maintained on site. Free advice is provided in respect of current legislation, upgrading of an existing system, or, where no installation exists, the options available.
